Where Has The Time Gone??

Well I haven't been on my blog in AGES!!!! In fact I really haven't had time to do much scrapbooking or anything creative in a long time. I have gone back to school so that keeps me pretty busy. My sister should be having her baby any day now, I'm so excited about that. I'm also really excited that its almost time to start making Christmas cards again. I'm thinking about the possibility of maybe selling them this year, I'm just not sure how that will work and if it will even be worth it, such as how many people will buy the cards versus how much I'll spend making them. So that's what I've been thinking about these days. I'm hoping to finish all my school work rather soon today, clean up my room then be able to organize my scrapbook stuff and get crafting.

Baby Shower!!!

So yesterday we had the surprise baby shower for my sister who is down visiting for a week and a half from Thunder Bay!!! It was awesome. She had no idea and was completely surprised. Ofcourse when she walked in and realized what was happening she started crying haha. It was a great time. Here are a few of the crafts we made for the shower.

These were the cards I had made for the gifts. The first one was the "What will it BEE??" Card. She doesnt want to know what she is having so I figured this card would work really well. I used bees on the outside and embossed the wings of the smaller bees to add some sparkle. On the inside I stamped the "What will it bee" with my clear stamps, and made a border around the inside of the card with "BZZZZZ........" just to add some more colour. I used chip borad letters and embossed them in the black and yellow.

The second card I made very gender equal haha. I divided the card in half so that I was able to make it both boy and girl. I used my cricut to cut out the shapes and again embossed it to add more texture and color and sparkle.

I made party favors and attached a label that was stamped by a "Hugs and Kisses" stamp. Under the stamp we write the saying "From baby Fountain" So the whole party favor said "Hugs and Kisses from Baby Fountain". We also made a "Bucket of Love". We cut out a whole bunch of baby shapes so that people could write loving messages or some advice for the parents to be.

I made a huge calender for the month of September (which was when the baby is due) so that people could make a guess of when the baby was to be born. I cut out little babies from my cricut and also little blue and pink outfits. People were to take a baby, glue the color of the outfit to the baby in which they thought the sex of the baby would be and then stick it to the day they think the baby will be born on. We also made a huge diaper cake made out of actual baby diapers. We stuck a bunch of baby products all around the cake as well.

Over all, this baby shower was a huge hit!!!!

My Recent Cards!

So I haven't updated my blog in what feels like forever!!! I have made some cards in the last few weeks, but have been so busy I havent been able to update here at all.

This is a card I had made for a friend who is pregnant. I used my Cricut to cut out the women and the "Congratulations". I embossed the "Congratualtions" and the shirt and hat to add some sparkle and fun to the card. She knew that she was having a boy so I also used my Cricut to cut out the little boy. I used the Cricut markers to trace out the little boy and to add hs facial features.

These cards were made for mothers day! I stamped out the images of the butterfly and the flowers and then used some chalk to colour them in. I also embossed the edges with clear embossing powder.

Omg so this is one of the coolest things Ive seen in a very long time.. I love sticky notes and all, but this takes it to a whole new level!!! If anyone can create anything as cool as this with sticky notes, you'll be my new hero LOL!!!!

Paper Bag Scrapbook

Hey Guys!!

So here it is.. The Paper Bag Scrapbook. It is exactly what it sounds like... it is made from brown paper lunch bags. Its really simple to make as well. I saw a demo of it done on one of my favourite blogs, so I decided to give it a try myself. Once I gathered all the supplies I needed to decorate it, the creating process took about 2 hours!!! Thats a very short amount of time to make a mini scrapbook!!! It usually takes me that long just to do one page.

I used jumbo brads to hold the bags together. You can use anything you want to hold the bags together like rings or eyelets. I only had the jumbo brads so that why I used them. Its really neat because every other page has a pocket on the side so you can stick little notes or pictures or anything you want in them. I decided to put mini cards I made inside the pockets.

You can use as many or as few bags as you choose. I used only 2 bags to start which worked out perfectly. I'm

really happy with how this Paper Bag Scrapbook turned out!!

Stamping Class

So I went to my first Stamping Class EVER!!! It was great!! I got so many ideas, and got to try a bunch of new things!! The one and ONLY problem I had with the class is that now I want to buy a whole bunch of new things hahahah. However now I feel like I want to go shopping for supplies and then just spend the rest of the day crafting!!! It got my creative juices flowing!!!

We stamped with the SOCK MONKEY stamp set, and we got to dress him up for Easter!!! How Cute!!! Considering I love everything and anything Monkey related, this was the class for me!!!

We got to paint the stamps with marker ink and then coloured

in the monkey with chalk!! I tried chalk before, but

could not seem to get it to work, but this chalk set was

amazing!!! So Im going to try mine again, however I still want the "Stampin Up" chalk set as well as their stamp markers!!!!

Making this window and then trying to get it so that just the ears showed was a little tricky, but the result was great!!!

Isnt the Easter Monkey just SOOO CUTE!! LOL Apparently you can buy stamps to go along with it so that you can dress him up for ever occasion!!! Ugh sooo want it!!!!

We also made this cute little card, kinda like the hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil concept!!!

I had such a great time. I really want to go to another class. Hopefully Ill be able to go to a few this summer!!!!

What I will Miss

With some of my friends already graduated, this year has made me realize how much I really miss them, and what things I miss most. This page I did about my friend Kim. She is basically like a sister to me and we lived together in rez and basically have been inseparable since! The most random things always happened to us, which made everyday a new adventure with us. With this page, I used plain chip-board and then embossed them using embossing powder to the colors I wanted. I also inked the edged of the arrow and the main yellow page to add depth and give it a little more texture so it didn't look so plain! Along the right side I wrote down a few things that are signature to us and that I will miss. I put the arrow from MISS to YOU to put emphases on the fact that most of all Ill miss you!

Family Card

This is called a Waterfall card! I made this card for my sister and Brother-In-Law, as they are parents to be!! When you pull the tab at the bottem the squares flip up and the squares underneath show. As the tab comes down there is room to stamp a message. This card isnt as hard to make as it looks I swear!! I cant wait until the baby is born, then I will be able to make him/her cards for everything!!! Hmm what will my next card be??

Sisters

Because I do not live with my sisters it's hard for me to show them the new pages I do or that I am even thinking about them. These are only a select few pictures of us over the years. I am sure

there will be alot more pages of sisterly love to come!!

Strawberry Picking

I love love LOVE Strawberry Picking!!! Most of all I love to eat them!!!! Last summer me and Jordan went, and after looking at the pictures, I knew I had to do a page about this. I wanted to make the page as bright as possible, showing off the fun we had. We mostly ate more than we took home haha. I used alot of reds on this page, and ofcourse a poke-a-dot background!!! I also used pictures I had taken of the strawberries and cut them into the letters to make the title of the page, which I LOVE. Yes I love alot about this page.

Bloggin...

So I have a question.. How do people make their blogs soo cool? I mean like I go on other people's blogs and they have this huge title for their page with a picture and whatever else.. Mine is soo empty.. How do I add this cool title to the top of my page. And where is everyone getting all these cool gadgets from?? My blog just looks so boring... I need to fancy it up.. get it more active.. make people actually want to come to my blog.... Any blogging help would be great!!!!

Im Going To Be An Auntie!!!

So we found out about 2 and a half weeks ago that my sister is PREGNANT!!!! This will be the first little one in the family!!! We are all sooo excited... She is only about hmmm 11 or 12 weeks along now!!! So we still have ways to go. She is due September 18th!!!!! I cant want to spoil this kid.. We dont know the sex of the baby because they dont want to find out!!!! ARGGGGG Thats going to drive me nuts!!!!! hahaha Im ready to scrap all about that baby once it gets here!!! Yayyy for babies!!!

The only bad thing about this is that they live in Thunder Bay.. thats 17 hours away!!!!!! UGH.. We are hoping they will get to move home soon but thats all job dependent!!!! But we are all for sure going up there at the end of September to see the new baby!!!! We are all just soo excited...

The Boy And I

This is the first layout that I have done of me and my boyfriend of over 1 and a half years. I picked a few of my favorite pictures of us from different things we have done together. I love poke-a-dots, they are my new favorite thing, so I just had to use them on this page! I used my Cricut mechine to cut out the titles. I also added a vellum enevelope in which I will add some journaling later. I blackened the edges of some of the pictures to add alittle depth to the images as well.

Just Because

This is a card I will be sending to one of my best friends (hopefully she doesn't mind me posting here before she receives it). I have been delayed in sending her another card, I keep telling her it is sitting at home on my desk and keep forgetting to bring everytime I see her. So I will be sending both to her. I again used my Cricut to make the title, and embossing the top layer of the flower with clear sparkled powder.

Thinking Of you

This is a card that I had made a friend who had just recently lost a family member!!! I used my Cricut mechine to cut out the title. I used a clear embossing powder for the little tea cup and a 3D sticker to make it pop alittle off the page.

My First Blog

Hey Guys,
So this is my first blog ever, and my first web-page ever, so it may take me awhile to get used to things here. I may be slow at adding things, or fixing things up so please bear with me. I will be posting my scrap things here as I do them, and any new ideas I have. If you have any ideas or inspiration for me please leave me a message!!!
